WHO IS THE AMHFA COURSE FOR?
The 14-hour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid course is for any interested adult, (either Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or not) who would like to learn more about providing assistance regarding mental health problems and crises.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
This course is based on evidence from the expert consensus of Aboriginal mental health professionals, many of whom also have lived experience of mental health problem.
COUSE FORMAT AND DELIVERY
This course can be delivered face to face (over two days) or blended online which is held over Zoom sessions.

Undertake Aboriginal and Torres Strait Mental Health First Aid
Just like physical first aid and the related courses, Mental Health First Aid is applied until the crisis resolves or that person undertakes professional help. Mental Health First Aid strategies are taught in evidence-based training courses authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and delivered by accredited MHFA Instructors across the country. Our trainers have over twenty five years experience in Mental Health in both the UK and Australia, and are well equipped to run through a variety of preventative strategies regarding mental health, including:
